Romantic stay in our Bordeaux guesthouse

Romantic escape

A weekend for two at Les Pénates

Hand-in-hand strolls, signature dinner, cruise on the Garonne: our guesthouse becomes your cocoon to experience Bordeaux with heart.

Ideal duration

2 to 3 nights to savour everything

Key moments

Parc Bordelais, Ro'cha dinner, sunset cruise

Mood

Intimacy, gastronomy, golden scenery

First moments together

As soon as you arrive, leave your luggage at the house and slip into the greenery of western Bordeaux. Parc Bordelais, just around the corner, reveals shaded alleys, quiet benches and a silvery lake — the perfect spot to slow down, talk and savour the moment.

On the way back stop by our favourite addresses: carefully pulled espresso at Utopy, an impromptu board at Fromagerie des Loups, a bottle recommended by the POC La Cave team. When the façades turn golden, head to the quays: Pont Chaban-Delmas rises ahead, the Garonne shimmers and the photos of you two become effortless keepsakes.

The evening continues with a gastronomic table — Ro'cha for its clear, refined cuisine or a tasting menu we reserve for you. Request a quiet table, let the sommelier share vineyards stories: your first Bordeaux night is already a cherished memory.

Day 2 — Senses awaken

Morning

Breakfast in the lounge or on the terrace, then a gentle jog or stroll through Parc Bordelais — watch the morning light filter through the trees.

Lunch

Book a table at Tentazioni for a tasting menu, or choose a chic picnic with artisan produce enjoyed on the riverbanks or in our garden.

Evening

Sunset cruise on the Garonne. Toast with a glass of Crémant, then enjoy desserts from Mi Cielo under the stars back at Les Pénates.

Romantic dinner setup in Bordeaux

Prefer to stay in? We can stage a private dinner in your suite with candlelight, playlist and tasting notes selected by Sylvain.

Day 3 — Escape together

Choose a getaway tailored to your desires: vineyards for tastings and château architecture, or the ocean for salt air and Atlantic horizons. Saint-Emilion gives you medieval charm, Arcachon brings Belle Époque villas.

Take the time to linger: a hand-in-hand climb up the Tour Pey-Berland, a stop at Place de la Bourse by night, a final dip in the pool before departure. Moments that become your shared story.

Before you leave, write a note in our guestbook — we love to collect your declarations and favourite memories.
